Have you ever read a book that you loved only to get to the end and hate how it ended? This is how I felt about the Hunger Games series. I loved reading the trilogy, but could not believe how it ended. It bothered me so much how it ended that I had really bad dreams that night and still couldn't get it out of my mind the next day. The author did an incredible job hooking the reader and making you emotionally attatched to the characters. I know lots of people loved them, and I really liked the books, but it is hard for me to get past the ending.
On a happy book note- I read all the Harry Potter books from book 1 to book 7 in Nov.-Jan. I LOVE those books! There are no words for how amazing that series is and how attached I am to the characters. There were times when I was reading that I was crying so much I had to put the book down because I couldn't read through the tears. David asked me to read the part that made me cry to him and I couldn't even get through it because I kept crying. Reading them from start to finish makes the series so much better. JK Rowling is an excellent writer who makes you feel that Hogwarts and the wizarding world is real. I felt like I knew Harry personally and was emotionally invested in all the characters lives. I can see why kids get hooked on reading because of these books.
I am currently reading Patron Saint of Liars and The Kitchen House( when I finish the other) for 2 different book clubs. One book club is one where we read the books and talk about them, the other (you know who you are :) ) we just talk about everything but the book we supposedly were going to read! I love reading!
