Pregnancy Funnies

Well I am 35 weeks and my body has clearly changed. Sometimes you just have to laugh about the changes or at the things people say about your changes.

I was teaching a lesson about fractions and talking about parts/whole. I used the pizza analogy and asked the kids how many pieces they eat ex: 2/4 etc. Well the kids started saying they eat 7/8 pieces and 8/8 pieces. You know how kids can get when they are trying to outdo each other!
Me: Wow, some of you have big stomachs.
Student: No offense, but you are the one with the big stomach.
Me: I am supposed to have a big belly, I am pregnant.
Student: That is why I said No offense!

Coming in from recess:
Student: My nose is running I need a Kleenex.
Me: We are on our way inside.
Student: Yeah but you are walking slow. It will all run out by the time we get inside.

Student: I think you would go faster if you rolled in a chair down the hall instead of walking.

Student: Why do you have more bumps on your face this year than last year?

Me: Wow, baby is really moving!
Student: Maybe she will be a karate master when she grows up.

After 15 minutes of being on the elliptical I feel like I ran a 5K, which I have never done but I imagine it would feel like being pregnant on the elliptical! Then when I type in my weight I feel like I should lie because the machine is somehow judging me!

The kids have been really sweet now that it is obvious I am pregnant and having a baby. They tell the baby goodbye when they leave- they wave at my belly and say "Bye Baby". It makes me smile :)
