Spring Break

Day 1: Went to the Premier Outlets in Cincinnati with my fabulous friends! I got 3 things, not that many good deals or clothes. Then we went to IKEA- it was my first time! It is a very neat store, slightly overwhelming at first, I will know more what I want when I go next time. Watched a very sad UK game but I can't talk about that. In a past post I mentioned the bet David and I had- the winner of our brackets gets to choose the next 5 movies- I lost:( I thought that I had won and I started to celebrate early, talking about all the movies I was going to make David watch (Twilight, some Harry Potter, Princess Diaries, etc.) then I realized that I lost instead of won. David then chose to list of the movies he was going to make me watch (Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Saw, Schindler's List, Blood Diamond, etc.) He said he was going to go easy on me but when I mentioned making him watch Twilight he decided I needed equally punishment. So far I have managed to escape watching any of those movies!

Day 2 and 3: I went to visit my parents. Sunday was a beautiful day outside so it was nice to walk around my parents land. Callie LOVES the farm because she can run free, chase birds, play with Macy, and swim. My mom and I walked to the top of the hill and took the dogs swimming in their ponds and walked the land. It is a beautiful view from up top the hill, plus a good walk up there. We helped my dad lay straw over the grass seed- talk about manual labor! It was really nice walking and talking with her. We grilled out and drank a glass of wine on the back porch. Once it got dark we looked at the stars- you can see so many stars in the country! It was amazing how many stars I could see. It was proof of God's wonderful creation. The next morning we sat on the deck, drank coffee, and looked for deer and turkey. We didn't see any but saw plenty of birds and heard woodpeckers. We took the dogs for another walk and swim. I headed home Monday before the storms hit Lexington. Since it was raining and Callie was exhausted, I cuddled up on the couch and finished my book. I crashed early Monday night. Callie and I after the straw was all put down

Day 4 (Tuesday): I was very productive Tuesday morning. I had blood work (which was a good experience because usually it is not for me), cleaned the house , put ALL laundry away, got an oil change, and picked up a bridesmaid dress all before 1:30. From 1:30-5:30 I ate and chatted with 2 co-workers at Panera's. It was so nice to just sit and chat and not have to worry about having to do anything else! David and I grilled steaks and did a little yard work that evening.

Day 5 (Wednesday): My favorite thing to do on Saturday mornings is after I get up I drink my coffee, read, and snuggle with Callie until David gets up. Well I was able to do this on a Wednesday! It was a fabulous way to start my day. I plan on doing this Thursday-Saturday:)My mom and I went shopping this afternoon. She was in Lexington for a hair appointment so we went and did some shopping and ran some errands. I got some good stuff and Kohls!

I LOVE Spring Break!!!
