Making a Bag Day 2

Day 1- Selecting Material
Day 2- Cutting and beginning to sew

On Sunday I went over to Teri's after I worked in the nursery at church to begin sewing the bag. On a side- note, I worked in the baby room for the first time and it was great! Teri taught Lindsay and I how to cut the material from the pattern. That took forever! We ironed the fabric we cut and then we began to sew the materials for the pockets. We worked for like 5 hours and got everything cut, ironed, and the first few things sewed. We were very productive. It was fun to know you are making your own bag, slightly stressful because you can mess up, but fun.

I knew my chick flick knowledge would come in handy one day!

So Jeopardy is on in the background, I am not sure why but it is on our TV. I am working on school stuff and David is watching UK wildcat videos and I hear a question and blurt out "How to Loose a Guy in 10 Days" and not one of the Jeopardy contestants knew the answers- take that!

Making a Bag

My mother-in-law, Teri, is teaching my sister-in-law, Lindsay, and I to sew a bag. Today we picked out the fabric, we went to the Q fabric store. It was very overwhelming because there were so many colors and choices. The store is really neat and has so many great fabrics. It look me so long to decide on the fabric for my bag! With the help of Teri, Lindsay, and a woman who worked there I was able to select my fabric. I am very excited to start making this!
This is what the final bag will look like.
This is the fabric I selected. The flowery pattern is the middle, the pink is the bottom and the handles, the green is the top, and the orange is the ribbon.
